Billie Joe Armstrong, Television Star?
Lately Billie Joe Armstrong and the rest of the Green Day gang have kept a pretty low profile since the conclusion of their broadway musical American Idiot. Well, other than getting kicked of a Southwest Airlines flight for saggy pants and essentially taking over the media for three days; and playing a handful of secret shows with entirely new material. Since the sagging-pants issue, Billie has remained very mum. At this point, fans are wondering if a new album is even in the works.
Well what all of Twitter has seemed to learn today, Billie Joe Armstrong has apparently been cast in a role in the upcoming season of the Showtime hit, Nurse Jackie (starring Edie Falco and Peter Facinelli of bad-wigged Twilight fame.)
It has been confirmed by a crew member on the show who tweeted and posted a twitpic of the eye-liner wearing rocker.
This is not an elaborate hoax either, SHO_liz, the head of the PR team for Showtime even retweeted the photo, confirming the news.
No details about the role, the number of episodes, or plotlines have been revealed at the present time. All I can say is, I really wish I had Showtime!
